The Gold Coast Fashion Award Show is a Chicago tradition with a sold-out captivated audience of 1,500 men and women. The Show brings together the most prestigious retailers in Chicago in individual store sponsored segments, and features a competition segment where the hottest new design talent competes for the coveted Gold Coast Fashion Award. The Show and is considered by retailers, designers, and the community as one of the most prominent fashion shows locally and nationally.
The Gold Coast Fashion Award is presented annually to a new and/or emerging American designer chosen for “Excellence in Design.” It is the only fashion honor in the country determined by the customer rather than the trade. All those who have attend cast ballots the day of the Show, and the winner is announced as the highlight of the event. The winner is then invited to return the following year to present his or her fall collection and to personally receive the Award.
