There are many ways to donate to your favorite nonprofits and
here are some popular ways you can contribute to, and benefit
The Custody Project:
Below are many other ideas, to assist you in finding the perfect
way to donate to TCP:
Remember, The Custody
Project is a nonprofit organization and your donations are tax
deductible. TCP assists mothers and their children yearly
through your grass-roots generosity. Every dollar makes
our service possible. Use us for tax write-offs, put coins in
a giving jar and send the sum, donate the proceeds of bake sales
and yard sales to us, share our flyers, send your prayers. Thank
you.

Simple Ways to Give
Monetary Contributions
Your straight-from-the-heart contributions are our simplest way of raising funds each year for our moms and their children. We invite you to join us in giving to TCP and in sharing our work with others.
Spontaneous or Planned, your checks, cash, and gift certificates are welcome and needed and we thank you. Whether your help is occasional, monthly, or yearly, your kind and essential donations keep us rolling and are vital. For those who are planned givers, TCP invites you to join our Dollar Campaign. Help us
serve mothers and their children by donating $1-$20 per year (or more); even $1 per month allows our work to continue. When you contribute, you touch a family that might otherwise have
been left without help or hope. (For further information,
see Tips for Spontaneous and
Planned Giving, Corporate Giving and
our Contributions Form).
Guidestar
(www.guidestar.org), listing The Custody Project on its
site, allows you to click on their Donate Now Button to benefit us, or encourages you to give your gifts to TCP online
through Network
for Good or other secure sites like Just Give and MissionFish,
or by sending donations directly to The Custody Project via the
U.S. Mail. You can contact Guidestar 8am-8pm ET, Mon-Fri, by calling 757.229.4631 or 800.784.9378.
You can instantly donate online to The Custody Project here
via Network
for Good and Just Give
or by using our Donate Buttons. (For further information,
see Online Contributions, and look for the donate buttons at the
side menu, top of this page, or check out our Contributions Form).
E-check and EFT contributions.
Please see our Online Contributions section
for further instructions.

Contributions.

State and Federal Campaigns
Federal and State employees can designate a gift to TCP through
the campaign at your place of work. On your form, indicate
that your donation is going to The Custody Project, PO Box
20753, El Sobrante, CA, 94820-0753. Ask your employer for
additional information!

The United Way
Make a gift to The Custody Project through the United Way
Campaign at your place of work. Indicate your pledge on your
UW form and that your donation is going to The Custody Project
, PO Box 20753, El Sobrante, CA, 94820-0753.
You can also donate to TCP independent of your workplace.
Contact your local United Way for local procedures, fill out
the local United Way card, and write The Custody Project into
the Donor Option. In the Bay Area of California, call Helplink
at 1.800.273.6222 for the regional UW office nearest you (San
Francisco regional: 415-772-4300), or use UW's Bay Area Customer
Service number, 800-273-1779, regarding Donor Options and
provide the information in the paragraph above.
When you donate through United Way, UW keeps its percentage.
The remainder of your donation is allocated to TCP. One hundred
percent [100%] of your donation goes to TCP when you give
directly to us. Thank you for your United Way and your
direct TCP contributions, which make our services possible.

Matching Gifts
Double your donation through your company's matching gift
program by letting your employer match your contributions
to The Custody Project.
Matching gifts occur when you give to The Custody Project
and your employer matches your contributions dollar for dollar.
If you wish to donate to several charities, indicate this
on your matching gift form. Matching gifts will be sent to
TCP and to each designated charity, creating a win/win for
you, the matching gift company, and the charities specified.
Some companies pay the administrative fees to United Way,
too, so that designated charities receive 100% of the donations.
Matching gifts are a great way to increase giving to The
Custody Project. (Matching Gifts Administrator for Federated
Department Stores like Macy's, call 800-838-2063). Remember
to enclose your matching gift form with your gift to us. Thank
you!
Some companies that have had matching gift programs include

FNSR, JB
You can donate FNSR, JB (For No Special Reason, Just Because).
Especially when used towards rent, food, utilities and other
common necessities, your FNSR, JB gifts make ordinary days
extraordinarily special for moms and kids.
On Holidays, "FNSR, Just Because" gifts can create magic.
These times include Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's,
Mother's Day, and around Labor Day when the kids go back to
school and are in need of clothes and supplies.
Here is the power of FNSR, JB "Just Because" contributions:
"As the most popular radio personality in the city, my
brother Ron encourages the people of Dallas, Texas, each
morning with his verbal hand holding. Advertisers pay top
dollar for thirty seconds on his show because they know
he can deliver results. Because his listeners believe in
him, they have kept his show number one for over twelve
years. According to the Dallas Morning News (February 5,
1989) which published a full-page picture of him along with
a three page article, Ron's "audience loyalty is legendary."
They told of his now-famous promotion in April 1988 when
as an off-the-cuff filler he asked his listeners to send
him twenty dollars - for no special reason. Within three
days, he received over $240,000.00 with no strings attached.
He gave it all to local charities ..."

Word Publishing: Dallas, 1989, p. 133).

is the best gift, and carries the most leverage with
the bills which must be paid. Gift certificates usable
anywhere in the USA, preferably with no expiration date,
and from nationwide Stores are helpful when they can
be exchanged for cash or used to buy food, clothing,
or other necessities for moms and their children wherever
the family resides. |

contributions and services. Each of you receives your flyer
during the year, either through the internet or as postage
becomes affordable. The Custody Project is a 501(c)(3), charitable,
tax-exempt, nonprofit organization, Fed. Tax ID #95-4521373,
